Since I don’t really celebrate Easter anymore from a religious standpoint, I forwent church and took a walk along the Low Line/Shiplock Park trail by the canal and enjoyed lovely native plants in flower! #RVA

Birding at Bryan Park this AM - I finally saw an owl in the wild! Big thanks to the other birder who took the time to show me where the Great Horned Owl was. I paid it forward with another birder a few minutes later. I was shooting at extreme zoom right into the sun, so the photos were horribly backlit. Playing with the sliders in gThumb, I managed to at least get something vaguely owl shaped.

The other, in focus photo is a green heron.
