Most #Seattle Public #Library branches have fax machines. You can send faxes free.
Fax, you say? It's long dead to 80s throwback! Who cares!
Answer: Many medical providers will still only accept info requests via fax. IFYKYK
For comparison. The last time I sent a fax from a copy shop, they charged me $27.

"For Peter Hasegawa, it all started with the heat dome. The labor organizer remembers the 2021 extreme heat event that killed more than 400 people in the state of Washington. That disaster woke up residents and union members to how deadly climate change can be. Although Seattle had passed climate action legislation in 2019, it became clear to Hasegawa and the union members he represented that even though the city was preparing to wean itself off fossil fuels, it was still ill-prepared to deal with the impacts of a warming planet.
This led Hasegawa last fall to South Seattle College, the setting for MLK Labor’s community assembly on extreme weather and worker rights. One October evening, a lecture hall filled with union workers, including teachers, firefighters, home health care workers, postal workers, and more, ready to try out the Community Assembly model. Community Assemblies are participatory spaces where people come together to learn, deliberate, and make collective decisions on programs and policies that influence the actions of government and community action. Hasegawa watched closely as the assembly unfolded."
Been a while since I posted a greenhouse status update. The roof is almomost completely done, only missing one pane - I broke one putting it up, and itis taken a while to get a replacement.
Also almost halfway done with the wall glass - just two more pones for the bottom concourse. It's really starting to feel like a proher structure!

In 2012, Patterson boasted that he hit someone so hard that he broke his nightstick, an apparent reference to a time when SPD violently busted up a backyard party in Columbia City.
You can see that Patterson already has his baton in his hand. He's effectively committed at this point because he can't use both hands to put the man's arm behind his back.
Patterson has been named in lawsuits costing the city over a million.
OPA completed the investigation in January and issued sustained findings against Patterson but not the other officer.
The chief still hasn't issued discipline. Patterson has been on leave since last year. He may be burning off his leave before retiring.
