A voter who is sick to death of being interrupted by unwanted spam that I cannot opt out of because I dared to actually contact politicians in the past to voice my opinion only to have all my contact details hoovered up into secret databases I am not allowed to see or remove myself from.

I know most people dislike AI on the Fediverse, but we really do need an AI on the Fediverse to deal with the spam problems.

I work for Meta, and do you think we spend all day, every day, removing spam?

NO. - We have an AI for that.

The only time I see spam is when someone appeals. You'd be surprised on how entitled people feel to post, junk. Beyond that, we mostly deal with normal junk, and spam is generally a low issue.

Anyone else got a mail by Apollo AI where they announce that they will use your data without your permission unless you object? They seem to be collecting e-mail addresses from open source mailing lists?

Kollege: Du solltest so etwas nie ohne Kontext sagen!

Neue Form von #Phishing per Mail: Sehen aus wie eine typische Eingangsbestätigung, kommen scheinbar von diversen Stadtwerken, Banken und Reiseveranstaltern. Tatsächlich kommen sie über Google-Mailserver bzw. bei Google angelegten Mailinglisten und zeigen auf URLs, die garantiert nichts mit dem angeblichen Absender zu tun haben, auch wenn die Websites dahinter so ähnlich aussehen sollten (hab keine angeklickt). Augen auf!

Apparemment, la nouvelle méthode des entreprises de démarchage (qui appellent avec des 06 et 07 alors que c'est interdit), c'est d'appeler des numéros au hasard en disant "Oui bonjour madame [Nom qui n'est pas le tien]".

Et quand tu dis "non, pas du tout", on te répond "ah désolé je me suis trompé, mais c'est pas grave, vous êtes bien la propriétaire de ce numéro… alors… blablabla".

Du coup, cette fois, j'ai dit "non vous vous êtes trompée de numéro" et hop j'ai raccroché.

Ça me gonfle. Je hais ces boîtes.

(Je dis ça parce que j'arrête pas de recevoir ces appels sur mon numéro pro où je décroche les numéros que je connais pas contrairement à mon numéro perso et qu'on me donne un nom différent à chaque fois…)
