Day 19) Favorite published adventure

For a traditional zero-to-hero, save-the-world adventure series, it's hard to top "Rise of the Runelords" for . Mix of dungeon, wilderness, urban, & small-town settings; interesting enemies; and lots of role-play opportunities.

Runners-up (all one-shots)
"Beast-Bound and Down" (Spirit of '77)
"Secret of Castonegro" (Call of Cthulhu)
"The Flocculent Cathedral" (Trophy Dark)

@PaulBaldowski I feel the exact same way. I ran a space opera game using Savage Worlds. Key takeaways for me:

* Combat was a slog. Being shaken is unfun and combat doesn't reliably progress. It just stalls.

* The mechanics are not especially engaging, but they're also not light enough to support a fast, snappy, high energy game.

is my goto for pulp now.

Question for the locals: How long does your average campaign run? I'm about three sessions into with my crew and trying to decide if we want to make it a Thing or just wrap up the story that's begun to unfold.
