Power is still off and I doubt it will be back on anytime soon.
All around me I can hear trees cracking and breaking under the weight. The sound is like glass shattering. Indeed as I was typing a big tree snapped at the back of the house.
I honestly can’t remember an ice storm like this in this area in decades.

On the upside, we have a small generator, my internet provider obviously has one too, the fire place is keeping the house warm. I am privileged and grateful for it.

So it begins.

We are now seeing a few stormheads between Corvallis and Newport.

Here in the mid-valley, the overcast is just taking us now, nothing impressive in the skies yet, but watching the satellite views, I see crazy amounts of clouds springing up as the front moves in.
