…I have seen BlueSky critically for a long time (see above in the deprice). I am not the only person and why it has to be avoided to avoid @FediThing told us clearly. Tracking is relatively easy to redirect on the left.

There is no way to stop this or know that it is happening as the redirect only flickers on the screen for a fraction of a second.
Presumably this means Bluesky can now track all link clicking on their platform, including IP addresses, destinations etc?
Or have I misunderstood?
Bluesky is spinning it as a tool for publishers to track referrals, but going beyond the spin it seems to be giving Bluesky access to people's online activity?

Like @delta & @thunderbird as well as @monocles / #monoclesChat & @gajim which owrk flawlessly over @torproject / #Tor using @tails / @tails_live / #Tails and @guardianproject / #Orbot respectably.
- Also these allow not only #SelfHosting but just work and I'd highly recommend #monocles as a hoster which finances iself by users paying and allows #anonymous accoubts & payments including not just #Monero but also #CashByMail!
Considering the costs of even acquiring and upkeeping an #anonymous #SIM, I'd rather pay €2 p.m. for #XMPP+#OMEMO and #PGP/MIME-supported #eMail with thr option of self-custody than $2,50+ p.m. just to keep a phone number.
- Plus I don't run around with a #tracking device that could be used to #deanonymize me any second...

Nie były to strony, na których by mnie to niepokoiło (jakieś ecommerce'y itp., więc tego typu gunwa można się tam spodziewać), ale parę razy antywirus na służbowym komputerze mi te strony (zwykłe, legitne) poblokował, właśnie przez te linki, identyfikowane jako scam. Okazało się, że zostałem przez przeglądarkę uraczony funkcją "Direct Match" czyli jakimś wybitnym pomysłem Vivaldi na monetyzację przez postawianie w pasku adresu - zamiast strony docelowej - jakichś swoich maszynek do robienia pieniędzy na przekierowaniach. Srsly? Na szczęście łatwe do zidentyfikowania i wyłączenia.

Hmm, privacy tip. OsmAnd sends a "unique ID" when you download offline maps, UNLESS, you turn off that identifier. Any kind of UUID transmitted over the web is unfortunately (another) digital footprint ad companies and whatnot can use to follow you through life. You can turn it off. #osmand #privacy #tracking

Wollte nur einen Kaffee im Zug am Platz direkt vom Tablett der Servicekraft kaufen – bar, versteht sich – und die Servicekraft tippt fröhlich meine Wagen- und Platznummer ins Smart-Terminal ein.
