Over in High Shelf Collective land we do an annual "Shark Tank" presentation session where folks bring their games they want to run to the group and we show them off. (Nothing's actually ever cut or blocked, it's all "let's hear your ideas so we can all get hype for them.")
Every year I include a slide about #Vurt because it's a setting and game that I hold near and dear (warts and all).
Anyway, Vurt never works out, so this year I have two slides. One to mention the game again, and this one.
Being a gamer is all about the stuff that you own but haven't found the ideal use for yet, right?
Alongside so many books and PDFs, my #CriticalMachine hasn't quite made it to the table yet, but I'm reading #JeffNoon #Vurt, and the retro #Cyberpunk vibes are getting stronger...
2023 might be the moment
Since re-introductions seem to be in order. Hi, I'm Mike. I make things on the internet and play RPGs. Mostly I play online, and the majority of the time it's stuff that gets streamed on Twitch as part of the High Shelf Collective channel (https://twitch.tv/highshelfcollective). Sometimes I paint small bits of metal and/or plastic. I live in Saint Louis with my wife and our bulldog puppy.
These are a few of my favorite things

Anyone read any of the 90s sci fi novels in the Vurt series by Jeff Noon? When i think about the fragmentation and hybridization of identity resulting from digital convergence, they were remarkably prescient.
