Hey, if anyone wants an ARC of the new novel, we're coming up to the end of sign-ups: tinyurl.com/LHftWarc

Google DocsLazarus, Home from the War ARC Sign-Up FormIt's Good? to be Home Lazarus Lenkov has been a civilian for almost two months, and it's going great. Sure, he's working at an art gallery instead of flying planes. Sure, his brother is preoccupied with his new husband, his sister is busy with her new baby, and he's plagued by nightmares and his malfunctioning foresight. But there are good things, too. He's got a new car. And just today, he got hit over the head with a bottle and then stitched up by a cute neurologist. Who then rejected his advances, but you can't have everything. Eli Sobel has never met anyone quite like Laz. He's smart and handsome in a scruffy way. He's also a mess. From the first time they meet, it's clear that Laz needs someone to take care of him, even heal him. And while Eli's a doctor, he's not interested in taking on any patients in his personal life. But Laz is funny and generous, and Eli can't help but get drawn into the investigation surrounding the attack he stitched the man up from. There's bad magic afoot, though neither of them quite understands it. From a similar crime at a Minneapolis art gallery to dead bodies in Edina, Minnesota, each step of the inquiry seems to pull the two of them closer together. But when they finally uncover the surprising motives that tie the events together, will they be able to move past their history into an uncertain future together?

@grumpybozo : I definitely am not angry with you (I very much agree).

Unfortunately many admins treat security solutions like they're a religion.

Some time age there was a hefty debate on a Dutch "mostly admins" site (tweakers.net, I'd have to look up the exact thread) about the "correct" sending and receiving MTA configurations. There was no agreement.

Microsoft even used to ignore SPF/DKIM/DMARC if the sender was in the "safe senders" list (which the user's address book defaults to). What could possibly go wrong (later MS corrected that).

The screenshot below is from part of security.nl/posting/766069/DMA (I wrote that Sept. 14, 2022).

🚀✨ Review: Last Chance to Save the World (Chaotic Orbits #3) by Beth Revis ✨🚀
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Beth Revis became one of my fav authors the moment I read the first book in this serie (Full Speed to a Crash Landing 😍) and I’ve been lucky enough to ARC read each book since then.

This is a quick series, but there’s a lot to sink your teeth into with each book. The fast-paced storyline rushes you at top speed through space and back to a futuristic Earth—one that’s slowly being ruined by billionaires. (Why does that sound so familiar? 🤔)

Last Chance to Save the World picks up with Ada and Rian trying to stop a corporate-controlled disaster from ruining Earth. Their dynamic is still perfection—flirtation, rivalry, and just enough tension to keep things interesting. I especially loved getting to meet Ada’s mom and seeing Ada finally make progress on what she’s been working toward for three books. And of course, her outsmarting Rian never gets old.

I finished it thinking, Wait… is there a book four? The ending felt more like a cheeky cliffhanger than a wrap-up, and honestly, I’m hopeful that we’ll get more of Ada and Rian in the future.

This series has been an absolute blast, and I’d recommend it to any sci-fi reader who loves fast-paced adventure, a little romance, and characters who are always one step ahead—until they’re not.

For the full review, please check it out on my StoryGraph, Fable, or Goodreads.

Thanks to @bethrevis , @dawbooks and @netgalley for the ARC! 🚀✨

My OpenCL-Benchmark now uses the dp4a instruction on supported hardware (#Nvidia Pascal, #Intel #Arc, #AMD RDNA, or newer) to benchmark INT8 tghroughput.
dp4a is not exposed in #OpenCL C, but can still be used via inline PTX assembly and compiler pattern recognition. Even Nvidia's compiler will turn the emulation implementation into dp4a, but in some cases does so with a bunch of unnecessary shifts/permutations on inputs, so better use inline PTX directly. 🖖🧐

Alliance for Responsible Citizenship (ARC) conference - Nigel Farage appears to imply that Reform UK are far to the right of even the Conservative party:-

'He denied that the right in the UK was divided, saying: “The right is not split in this country. The Conservative party is not on the right in any measurable way.”'

Folks at the #arc browser company didn’t need to keep having OpenAI eat their lunch. They could have niche down, work on #swift cross-platform and just make a great alternative #browser. Normies don’t even know what a browser is and shoving LLMs into one doesn’t change that.

I Think They Love You was a sweet second chance/fake dating love story between Denz and Braylon. Denz comes from an event planning empire and his father, the CEO, is ready to step down and name his successor. In an attempt to make himself seem more responsible, Denz lies about being in a serious relationship. In an act of desperation, he convinces his Ex, Bray (who now goes by Braylon), to fake date him after running into each other for the first time since they broke up years ago.

This book was cute and sweet and all the things I love to see from a fake dating book!! I’m not usually a huge fan of second chance romance, but this one was done well. I loved the way we got to watch them fall back in love, both facing their fears to do so. The secondary characters were excellent, I laughed several times listening to this, and it left me feeling warm and fuzzy. One thing I gotta say though- what do you mean Bray went to England AS AN ADULT, stayed there for a couple years, and came home with a British accent? That’s insane. But truly, a minor gripe all things considered.

Thank you Netgalley for my copy of this audiobook!
