I decided to take a walk with Freya to the little lake down the street and there were so many redwing blackbirds, a muskrat, a Crane and TWO bald eagles. Too bad for me that I left my camera at home. This Bald Eagle pair voiced their displeasure at the smaller birds that were harassing their juvenile offspring.

From June 2023, a mated pair of bald eagles had their heads thrown back as they were shrieking from atop a tall wooden platform. Large raptors with all white heads, blackish-brown bodies, white tails, yellow-taloned feet, and wickedly hooked beaks.

I watched a bald eagle get mobbed by crows for a while today. Their mate was in a nearby tree also getting mobbed, until they both got fed up and flew off lol

They so resemble funny little muppets / miniature Ostriches with Slinky toy necks.

Adorable.

Also, every time Shadow does a feeding, “Papa can you hear me?” from Yentl plays in my head.
