Firda<p>This is an even older puffin photo from May 2013, when I saw a puffin for the very first time at the Hafnarholmi harbour in East Iceland. I only saw at most half a dozen puffins then and most of my puffin photos featured just this one puffin who graciously posed for me until I had to leave. I often wonder if this particular puffin is still alive, and lately, if it had been there among the hundreds of puffins I saw when I returned to the same place 12 years later back in May this year. Swede’s Photographs<p>Poised Above the Deep</p><p>Here’s a brown pelican (Pelecanus occidentalis) I spotted at Savannah Beach on Tybee Island. I shared another image a few days ago—my goal was to capture them mid-dive. Judging by the activity, there must’ve been a school of fish just offshore. I was hoping to catch one right before it hit the water, but that moment slipped past me.</p><p>My photo gallery features over 1300 carefully selected images. Here’s the first photo with the new-to-me lens that I’m truly proud of: a female ruby-throated hummingbird (colibris a gorge rouge, en français), sipping nectar from a fiery-red crocosmia flower at the cottage in Rawdon, Quebec.<br>
