Got a DnD character concept that I'd like the fediverse's thoughts on.
---
The idea: a centaur druid who uses wildshape as a mobility tool, since most humanoid buildings aren't exactly designed with centaurs in mind.
The problem: druid wildshape as written doesn't really accommodate this character concept either in terms of backstory nor in terms of mechanics because its use is too limited and its time too short for it to really make sense as a mobility tool.
Potential fix: having a "preferred transformation" form of some sort that doesn't use wildshape charges and which can be maintained as long as the druid desires. Could make it not particularly useful for anything aside from navigation by having it be, like, a 1hp golden retriever or whatever.
