And yes, I am a #feminist, because #feminism also speaks to the #Liberation of men.

The #traditional man is a #serf, a worker to be stuffed into the mills of death, a soldier to be shoved on to the front line as meat for the grinder (see #Russia, see #Putin), a gladiator to be tossed into coliseum and be eaten by lions, a piece of meat on the side of your bread and circus.

Men are however histories greatest #romantics, #poets, #philosophers, #chefs and even #lovers.

We've been robbed.

"#Passover is a #Jewish #holiday steeped in tradition, but is set apart from other religious events in that the occasion and its observance is largely about #food. This is a holiday with pretty strict dietary guidelines, as well as classic #Seder preparation traditions, and for that reason, planning and #cooking for the holiday takes on a higher level of focus and preparation.

Home #chefs may start shopping, cooking, and planning their #menu weeks in advance—and the same can be said for celebrity chefs who happen to be Jewish.

But with so much #culinary traditions intertwined in this holiday's observance, it doesn't come as much of a surprise that many chefs have a specific family dish that has remained a star of the Seder for generations."

Southern LivingWe Asked Jewish Chefs Their Favorite Passover Dishes—They All Picked ClassicsTraditional favorites like charoset and brisket are a favorite for a reason—the Passover menu just wouldn't be complete without them, according to Southern chefs.

"We’re back with the second cohort of The #Nosher’s #Jewish #Food Fellowship — and this lineup is stacked. These talented #culinary minds are #chefs, #writers, #bakers, #storytellers and creative flavor innovators. They’ve #cooked in Michelin-starred #kitchens, reinvented family #recipes and launched their own food businesses. Their backgrounds span the globe — from Mexico to Mumbai, Tel Aviv to Tokyo — bringing a rich mix of Jewish food traditions.

Over the next few weeks, the fellows will be engaging with the diversity of Jewish food and enhancing their recipe writing skills, diving into food styling techniques and exploring visual storytelling. We’re excited to bring together this dynamic group and can’t wait to see what they create."

#Chefs #Cooking #Supplies #Uniforms #Aprons

I don't work in kitchens that much anymore, my own and an occasional benefit dinner, but I just ordered a few aprons from Chef Uniforms dot com

Clearance sale each one was under 6 bucks. They had chef's coats, pants and even shoes on clearance.

Hopefully these will save my regular everyday clothes from getting bleached or stained when I cook and clean up.

(I have JUST ruined a band tour shirt using a bleach clean up product. I literally wore it ONCE, and the over spray got it.)
