Can you cook mong dal (the yellow one) with just water and some salt and turmeric?
I have six different recipes for #dal open in my browser and they all want me to cook it with a #tadka and a load of chopped onions, but what I'm trying to cook (copy, from a restaurant) doesn't have onions in it and I don't think it has a tadka either
Would be great to find a recipe for the most basic (yet edible) dal....before UberEats bankrupts me.
