Tiggy<p>This morning was about prepping because my home help will be on holiday for a week.<br>She deserves holidays, she deserves paid holidays.<br>But my disability payments don't even cover her to come for 3 days a week although my assesment by DWP states I need help every day. I pay the extra for those 3 days from my pension. It certainly won't cover me getting temp help.</p><p>So we cooked cake, she prepped veg to be portioned and put in the freezer, and I also have 5 meals in there from last week's cooking session.<br>And I have bamboo cutlery plus paper bowls and plates.</p><p>Now I'm exhausted even though she did most of the work.</p><p>(I can buy low carb cake and ready meals, but apart from being very expensive they usually aren't so good - both taste and ultra produced chemicals.)</p><p><a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/DisabilityBenefits" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DisabilityBenefits</span></a></p>
