The chief of the European Commission’s competition directorate downplayed expectations over the size of the fines that the EU executive is set to hand down to Apple and Meta for infringing the bloc’s digital antitrust rules.

Wie wahrscheinlich ist es also, dass dieses Thema insgesamt eskaliert und Muckelbirne Trump per Geo-IP Blocking die Datenverbindungen zwischen EU und USA kappt?

What happened to 'interoperability by design'?
In December, 2024, the @EUCommission had proposed an interesting path for Apple to achieve higher standards of interoperability under the #DMA. The final version excluded several of these requirements.
A coalition of organisations and experts, have weighted the positives and negatives of the final decision of how developers can request #interoperability from #Apple.
#Google funds this #EU think tank to put out policy papers saying #DigitalMarketsAct will break their lovely #PlayProtect scare screens, making us all less safe and "it require[s] Google to allow developers to insert links inside their Play Store apps".
