I noticed an error on Apple Maps today. I called Apple Support for my iPad and Apple Maps. I told the customer service engineer that according to the International Hydrographic Organization, the correct name is “Gulf of Mexico”. She had me check Maps on my iPhone (I verified the change), added my notes to her call report, and asked that I register my complaint on apple.com/feedback. I did that, too.

It seems that Google Maps is starting to mislabel the Gulf of Mexico, while Bing(Microsoft) Maps has the correct labeling.
