Martha CrimsonI love this dress! Blue with red details is my jam, and it's also a very practical costume. Her top skirt (or perhaps apron) kan be replaced, so she can stay clean without changing her entire outfit, and the hem of her dress is short enough to allow her to walk without manoevering the skirt fabric with her feet. HenrietteAm making slow progress sewing the bottom seam of this 180 cm panel of fabric 🧵🪡 I seam to have overlocked the edge quite unevenly so when I pressed the seam, I had to make it uneven on the back to make it even on the front. HenrietteSpent time this morning beginning to hand sew the side seam of my ma mian skirt 🌸 I like to handsew the seam, because the effect is invisible on the front. It is also very meditative. Didn't attempt to match the motifs in the pattern, though, because the seam will be hidden in pleats 🌸Next I will measure the panels to check that they are the same size.
