The problem in this particular case is the “good faith” part.
There is none. Instead, he has weaponized this “weakness” in the system to take advantage of others. On purpose.

I thought about it for a moment.
The best way to make it work #imho would be that the kettle is actually stored in the door (maybe next to the ice maker).
And, since the fridge has water for making ice… it can make sure the kettle has water.
And, since the fridge has a filter for the water… bonus.
If I was China, and the orange doofus raised the tariff to 100% tomorrow like he is threatening… I’d immediately stop all exports to the US.
Cold turkey.
Which, in addition to the obvious effects… would result in zero dollars that the orange doofus is trying to raise via a stealth tax to pay for tax cuts.
Doofus sees no downside to the tariffs… it is time he be made painfully aware of that mistake. #imho
