Kim<p>So... Apparently <a href="https://mastodon.lol/tags/electrical" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>electrical</span></a> resistance is a funny thing. When I first hooked up the new iron electrodes, before running any current through them, my multimeter read 1k ohms. After running current for a minute it had dropped to 110 Ohms. And now after ~45 minutes it's reading no resistance whatsoever.</p><p>I'm guessing that whatever technique this multimeter uses for measuring resistance is simply broken by this setup.
