Midweek discussions - So you think you can do it better?
Does anyone know how to turn off that new #MyAnimeList 'helper', especially that constant bouncing?
Only just seen it now and it's already annoying me, and it's not been a few moments.

The hunt is still ongoing for a #UK based website that sells physical #manga and #LightNovels. Any suggestions?
My nearest bookshop only does 2nd hand, and some of the others don't have many of the series that I'm reading.
I want to avoid Amazon as much as possible... until there's no other, viable, option!
I am rather disappointed to learn that #Bookwalker Global has transferred ownership from Japan to the US... especially in the current climate.
Now to start thinking about alternatives for digital #manga and #LightNovels.
"We would like to inform you that, starting from March 31st, 2025 [...], the ownership of the BOOK☆WALKER Global service, [...] will be transferred to a group company, M12 Media LLC, based in the USA."
What do we all think about the change of ownership for #Bookwalker Global?

Last night I finished volume 1 of In Another World with my Smartphone #LightNovel, by Patora Fuyuhara and Andrew Hodgson (translator).
The #anime version is one of my favourite #isekai shows, so it's good to finally start reading the #LightNovels.
It was also for one of #the52bookclub side quests for this year, a 'wise character'.

Can anyone please recommend a good #manga or #LightNovel series that's set in #China?
I'm doing the #52BookClub #reading #challenge and one of the side quests (so to speak) revolves around #LunarNewYear. While I have ideas for the other two prompts, in the side quest, I'm still looking for one set in China... as a country that celebrates it!

For those #otaku in the #UK, what's the best online store (that isn't Amazon) to buy physical #manga and #LightNovels from?
Waterstones, and a couple of other stores I'm aware of, just don't have all the series that I am interested in #reading.
I'd buy from Amazon, as a last resort, but I'd really rather not!
