#Liverpool has hosted dozens of #EU ambassadors, consul-generals, and dignitaries for #Europe Day, aiming to become the UK’s most Europe-facing city region. Invited by the Lord Mayor and supported by city leaders, the event celebrated Liverpool’s deep cultural and historical ties with Europe. Seminars were held by universities and business networks, showcasing strengths in health, digital, maritime, and green industries. The Liverpool European Festival was also launched. Mayor Steve Rotheram said the city is “choosing to reach out” in a time of isolation. EU Ambassador Pedro Serrano praised Liverpool’s pivotal role in strengthening UK-EU regional ties.

Flippin' 'eck, Tucker!

Mrs Losttourist's company have their offices on the waterfront at Liverpool, close to the cruise ship terminal.

Today it seems someone has parked a very big boat there and she's sent me a photo.

And unless I'm very much mistaken there is some kind of helter skelter slide thing connecting all the decks. That's either madness or genius!

An enormous modern cruise liner, about a dozen decks tall, is moored next to a mundane looking car park. There is a complex set of tubes running vertically between many of the ship's decks.
