Last week on my way to Augsburg, my train passed through my hometown #Dessau. This is part of its railway station. There was a legendary club/live music venue in one of these buildings, but it closed in 2017. It always makes me sad when I drive by the club's logo (which will happen again on Friday when we visit the fam for Easter). 🥲

Spuren eines verschwundenen Dorfes

Die Ruine der Kirche St. Valentin bei Laubach ist das letzte sichtbare Zeugnis von Ruthardshausen - einem Ort, der um 1550 wohl infolge der Pest aufgegeben wurde. Die Kirche entstand um 1260 und wurde 1970 als stiller Erinnerungsort gesichert.
Frontansicht der Ruine der Kirche St. Valentin bei Laubach. Das spitz zulaufende Giebeldach aus grobem Naturstein steht noch erhalten. Ein schmaler Trampelpfad führt durch das Portal in das Innere der ehemaligen Kirche. Die Ruine ist von frischem Frühlingsgrün und hohen Bäumen umgeben.
