Like, LOL, MDL doing its own thing is what's causing confusion in the first place!)</p><p>I told them that the best solution is to WAIT if the official source will reset the episode count back to E01.</p><p>Nope. MDL did their own thing still, stood by their own "new" rule.</p><p>Guess what? The episode count was reset back to E01 for the remaining 4 episodes.</p><p>They refused to listen to my suggestion, so now, they just created a whole mess of their database and community.</p><p>Korea is not making things confusing, it is their staff that is making things confusing. All they have to do is follow the official sources, as they claim they are doing (but not).</p><p>If the official source listed the episodes like this:</p><p>* S01 Part 1 E01, 2, 3<br>* S01 Part 2 E01, 2, 3</p><p>Then we follow that and split the show into Parts 1 and 2.</p><p>Otherwise, if the official source listed the episodes like this:</p><p>* S01 E01, 2, 3<br>* S01 E04, 5, 6</p><p>Then we should follow that REGARDLESS when the other episodes were scheduled to be released/aired.</p><p>Everyone else, like TMDb, IMDb, etc., are following the official sources. But MDL wants to do its own thing, then blame Korea for causing confusion.</p><p>I called them out for one last time. If they don't fix this, then that's the final nail in the coffin: they lie about following Korea's style.</p>

Both are trying to address the other at present, but the starting point has influenced the design choices that are inherent in both standards.</p><p>❖ The W3C VCDM is a data model for describing a broad range of credentials and does not explicitly define the protocols used to move credentials defined using the VCDM from point A to Point B (provisioning and presentation)</p><p>❖ The ISO mDL is a tightly coupled mix of an explicitly defined set of data attributes that make up a digital version of a driver's licence AND a protocol interface description for moving a credential composed of those attributes from a mobile device to a reader/verifier using NFC, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Aware protocols (in-person presentation); how that credential is provisioned to the mobile device from an issuing infrastructure is explicitly out of scope for the ISO mDL standard.</p><p>❖ The W3C VCDM supports and encourages the use of attribute and vocabulary transparency akin to how schema.org works; the ISO mDL vocabulary is part of the standard and as such is under the control of the ISO working group.</p>
