Two years into Sudan’s civil war, the healthcare system has collapsed. In Khartoum, 256 clinics and 53 hospitals have been destroyed. More than 75% of facilities in conflict zones are no longer operating.

When cholera swept through between July and February, it killed 1,500. There was almost no one left to treat the sick.

Just peeled off the outer layer of bandages, then took a shower where I didn't have to wear an extra waterproof layer and try not to get it too wet (it's not that waterproof).
