Today's dress is a Seamwork Tacara.

I made it in a vibrant hot pink/magenta (the color of my hair freshly dyed) med-heavy weight knit. I believe I got this fabric super cheap from a craft thrift store that is sadly long gone.

If you're considering making this pattern, be a little cautious about how narrow the sleeves are, and look at the finished garment measurements - it comes in super wide on purpose.

The problem with #MeMadeMay is that most of my me-made clothes are quite wintery, and May tends to be not.

But today it's a lot cooler here so I'm sporting this recently completed #MyPreciousSweater while also knitting on a cardigan that will probably be great for May next year!

This morning we had a delightfully wriggly little visitor, pictured here in a bit of a huff because he wasn't allowed up on the couch. He'll be coming to stay with us for a few days soon so expect LOTS of dog pics and I'm not even sorry.

The Banskia tank is super comfy, like a bralette you could do starjumps in.

today is a hangout in sweatpants day, but luckily I made a sweatshirt!

The Seamwork Oliver seamwork.com/pdf-sewing-patter is a little more cropped than I liked, so I added two 6 inch wide rectangles to the bottom, which worked perfectly for me, and looks like it's on purpose with the seam across the sleeves.

mine is a super light sweater knit in teal.

#MeMadeMay2025 day 3! All me-mades today, and ALL THE LINEN: Pants No 1 from 100 Acts of Sewing (max waist 54 inches, max hip 74 inches), and Envelope Dress by Cris Wood (no upper size limit - pattern drafted based on measurements). Got to be honest, I don't think I've worn either of these since last May. The trousers fit better than I remember - perhaps my body has changed again since last year when I was contemplating how to alter them to make them fit better. (But haven't had time to do it in the last year so nevermind). I don't really know why I don't wear the Envelope Dress so much any more. I should! #MeMadeMay Today was a bad fatigue day so I got up, had a shower, got into a fresh nightie and had a nap. This is one of my many linen made-of-rectangles nighties to help with night sweats.

I've managed to wear me made items yesterday and today so unofficially I'm participating in #MeMadeMay today I am wearing my test Tilly and the Buttons Lotta, which I made from old sheets, and had to piece together. I find wearing test pieces all day gives me a good idea about the fit. In this case, I think the bodice needs to be longer.

Photo shows the bottom of the skirt of the Lotta dress, where I had to piece (sew in another bit as there isn't enough if I don't) the skirt. Colour looks much bluer than in real life.

For #MeMadeMay , a Cashmerette Lennox shirt dress. The pink bundle on the bed is the Muna and Broad Glebe pants that I made as pyjamas and wore earlier.
I modified the shirt dress so, instead of in seam pockets, it has big slash pockets (copied off the Glebes actually). I really dislike the way in seam pockets twist.

Okay, not starting strong, I'll admit. But I'm not going anywhere today, and it's too warm for my usual joggers. I dyed this t-shirt yesterday, it was white with hot pink print, now it's a very dark blue-grey? The necklace was also a me made from various bits and pieces.

But in penance, here's a new book for this month, 'Make, Sew and Mend' by Bernadette Banner. Required because I realised none of my other sewing books show how to hand-sew a buttonhole.
