"Do They Know It's Christmas?" is a #charitySong written in 1984 by #BobGeldof and #MidgeUre to raise money for the #19831985FamineInEthiopia. It was first recorded by #BandAid, a #supergroup assembled by Geldof and Ure consisting of popular British and Irish musical acts. It was recorded in a single day at #SarmWestStudios in #NottingHill, London, in November 1984. "Do They Know It's Christmas?" was released in the UK on 7 December 1984.
