Wrapping up the throwback posts for my #mondayblogs series, I wanted to revisit the “Owning My Own Social” post from earlier this year.

We love to talk about social media here on social media, and what better time is there for this topic, given everything going on in this space!

It's been 6 months since I moved my main social presence to this single-person instance and it has been great! There is a comfort (for me) in knowing I can own my (social) presence on the web.

My quickdive into the #MITRE Crown Jewels Analysis (CJA)

This is an assessment that I feel a lot of infosec pros understand the importance/existence of, but so few shops actually attempt to perform. In a world where *everything* seems to be a priority, and all vulns seem to carry high/critical risk attributes, this is one way to cut through the noise and really rank things through a true risk lens.

Has your biz ever conducted one?

A writeup I did last year after one of Reddit's more severe enshittification episodes…

Since then, I have not used Reddit and I continue to invest time and energy into the #threadiverse, namely #Lemmy (though I am open to trying out more platforms as they mature).

Come check out the discussions at infosec.pub! (infosec.pub)

In Nov of 2022 I joined #Mastodon (like so many abandoning Twitter en-masse at the time) and have loved my time spent on the #Fediverse since. I was never much of a participant w/ Twitter, nor did I ever make an attempt to build or join any communities there, for whatever reason. I followed a few tech/infosec accounts and that was about it. Here, things have always been more friendly, more approachable, more human.

Here's what I wrote back then about Masto
