I felt like giving my last tune a remix, this one's an extended mix with some different drums (out with the 808 sounds and in with the 909 sounds) plus added breaks for a bit, a bit more 'doof doof'.

New track alert!
Just a basic acid track but I'm happy with it.
Here's my drum cover of "The Perfect Element" by Pain of Salvation!

For Sandro, who decided to enter the room in the middle of the recording!
Feel free to blame him for all the mistakes
I used the live version for the final part, as I think that's amazing - and also saves some drumming
Hope you like it!

Finishing up the album that’s been in the pipeline for months. And no, I will not be releasing to Spotify. Which means I won’t be able to track streams or album sales on a couple of tracking apps I have. So, maybe I need to clean them out, too. #musiciansofmastodon #musician #musicians #electronica #newmusic
Hello #Fediverse!
My name is Luca, I'm a drummer and IT professional from Italy, currently based in Prague, Czech Republic.

Enjoy, ciao!
C'mon, now, at least ONE of y'all has something they'd like to get a few new ears on for #BandcampFriday? I need at least one first-time contributor to finish tomorrow's Other People's Music... so send me a track or album you are wanting to promo!
No cost or obligation to you!
Here's a post with more details on how it works:

OK, so I was going to hold this one back, but... sod it. I'll just have to think of something else for a bonus track.
My new track is in support of the #LGBTQ community. What is happening in the world is awful. Love is love. People are people. We need to get back to treating each other with respect.

The nyckelharpa is a folk instrument from Sweden with a long standing tradition there. "Nyckelharpa" is a Swedish word, "nyckel" meaning "key" and "harpa" being a general term for a stringed instrument. Its key features (hah, see what I did there?) are the sympathetic strings and a keybox full of wooden keys. Some translate it into English to "keyed fiddle"
"viola de teclas" in Spanish or "viola d'amore a chiavi" in Italian - although it is not a fiddle or viola ;)
How it works: I produce the sound with a bow on the strings, like on any other bowed instrument, but instead of touching the strings with the fingers of my left hand and pushing them down on a fretboard or fingerboard to play a melody, I press a key. The key moves a little wooden tangent to the string and tada, the note changes The magical sound of the nyckelharpa is created from its sympathetic strings (usually 12) which are enhancing every note I play on the four melody strings.
If you want to hear some nyckelharpa music, you're welcome on my duos bandcamp https://aklejafolk.bandcamp.com or search for "Akleja" wherever you like to stream music. More names you can look for there are Josefina Paulson, Hazelius Hedin, Emilia Amper, Väsen, Daniel Pettersson / Sotali, Erik Rydvall - there are so many FANTASTIC players out there!
The instrument pictured here was made by Mats Wester.
Here it is, the first of 3 visualizers from my EP - this is from the titular track, Lithopedion.
Music was self-produced, video was by the very talented Vixxuals (on Instagram) out of Spain.

Been a while, but I'm back with a new video.
We find ourselves living in monstrous times where the goal seems to be make other people suffer. I hope this is a brief aberration and that we can go back to caring for each other and letting people just live their lives, regardless of who they are.

Next, I’m going to dive deep into my virtual studio (Reason 12) for several hours.
I have multiple instrumental progressive synth tracks that need to get out. Some melodies are still taking shape, some are already done. The feeling, soundscapes, and vision are already clear.
While I’m immersed, could you help me out with information?
I’d like to *release music here on Fedi* for the first time, right from the beginning:
1. What’s the best approach?
2. Where should I create an artist profile to make it enjoyable to follow?
3. Which instance should I choose?
4. What else should I consider?
5. Should I distribute it to commercial platforms as well? Or no? Why?
Any help would be appreciated, I'll get back to you when I'm back from the zone.
Time for an #intro post! If you're a music fan on Mastodon (or elsewhere on the Fedi), please consider giving me a follow. I'm an independent musician who makes weird, psychedelic electronic music with influences from industrial, dub, Musique Concrete, IDM and dance music (esp. techno and house).
Here's my drum cover of Allting Tar Slut / All Things Will Pass, by Opeth!
I think this belongs to the less popular songs from their catalogue, but it's an amazing song, an epic ending for an amazing album!
Fairly simple in terms of drumming, fairly tricky to keep the playing consistent through the whole length.
This actually showed me how hard it is to keep the focus for as little as 10 minutes. We're doomed
Hope you like it!
Here's an older #song of mine, still one of my favorites, brought to life with gorgeous instrumentation by my good friend and long-time collaborator LJ Montgomery. It's called "Dawn and Catastrophe" (lyrics at linked page).
