The Polish show "Projekt UFO" on #Netflix is supremely odd and not what I was expecting. I can't decide yet if I like it or not, and I'm halfway through its short run of 4 episodes.

But hey, if you like weird things and dry humor, check it out. I'm not sure that I can tell you what all is going on, but maybe you'll have better luck than I have so far. I'm hoping that it will make at least some level of sense by the time I reach the end. :holdthepain:

Took a short break, returning to this...

The White House replaced the covid.gov website with one promoting the unproven theory that COVID-19 came from a lab in China. This new site also spreads false information, claiming that social distancing and masks are ineffective against the virus. Many scientists disagree with this theory and support the effectiveness of preventive measures.

I can't even describe this as a potential scenario for a new docuseries on #Netflix

Before there was “Speed,” there was “The Bullet Train Explosion,” a 1975 film that inspired the famed Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock thriller. Later this week, a remake of the original Japanese movie will debut on Netflix. The gist? A Shinkansen train will blow up if it slows to less than 100kph. What do you do? @IndieWire gives us the answer in this review:

IndieWire · 'The Bullet Train Explosion' Review: Netflix Remakes Original 'Speed'By David Ehrlich

Started watching Bodies on Netflix yesterday

It’s a mystery / sci-fi / noir and if you have seen and loved Dark, there are some similarities but in a poor cousin way.

I’m interested to see how the story deals with the “what happens to minorities who think they are helping when they work for the police” thing

There is also a gay victorian subplot, I like gay and I like victorian.

Will probably finish it today, it’s only 8 episodes.

Nice cinematography based on the graphic novel and I like the 40s and 1890s costumes.
