The guide for the 3DS Circle Pad Replacement that I followed from the iFixit website was a big help especially when it warned me where I need to pay more attention otherwise I could easily damage parts like the little ribbon cables and more importantly where I can encounter glue. 🙂

The only thing that I wasn't warned about is the little transparent plastic piece underneath the the right hinge that use to diffuse the little red LED's light, that only turns on when the battery is in a very low level of charge. But there's other guides on their website in one of them they advise to pull that plastic piece before it will inadvertently fell off and will be hard to find after it.

📣 If any of you see this toot and planing to disassemble your original 3DS model make sure to pull that little transparent plastic and put it in a small box or in any container before loosing it ‼️ ‼️

The rubber from the circle pad on my 3DS fell off, the robber has some tears on it so it will not stay one even if I put it back. 😭 I tried to use it with like that, but it was too slippery and my finger started to hurt after an hour of play session. 😢 Probably I could just leave to be like that, but I thought since there's replacement ones sold even if those are not original I will be better of with them then the original without its rubber. 😌

So i had a bit of bad luck, when i removed my 3ds from my bag a small piece of plastic on the lower right side of the hinge broke off. And I had itin a protective case!

I ended using duct tape to keep that piece in place. Its ok, its just supeficial cosmetic damage. And the tape is the same color as the hinge. the rest of the console is fine.

if it becomes too much of an annoyance, i might see if i can find someone to switch the faceplates for me, i found there is at least a store in my town that fixes consoles.

So for now this diy fix will just have to do

Hey lovely techie people! I am trying to archive an obscure 3DS game from my own 3DS hardware.

I decompiled the rom however I have .ANIM files so i am wondering if there is a way to convert them to open them in as gif/png etc

edit: looks like .anim files contain the code used to link two images/models together, hence is unable to easily viewed in the raw data. It's there, but it's a lot of work and seems to be a 3DS only file type?

Soru wants to make NetPass as safe to use as possible. For that, she is implementing on the server side potentially mallicious messages that would / could abuse security bulnerabilities within StreetPass itself. If you are aware of any such exploit, or know someone who is, please forward this message to reach out! Soru will handle such reports with top confidentiality and will not leak what the issue actually is, nor how to circumvent it, if that is wanted. Thank you for your help ^-^

Please boost this for widest possible reach!

Seems like we are at it again, NetPass has once again reached one million messages over 15 days!

NetPasses usage had died down quite a bit to ~700k / 15 days after the initial hype of its release was over (2-3 months). Now, however, we still see steady growth and thus were able to reach this milestone again! Thank you for everyone who is joining in on this ride ^-^
