Do you think more should be spent on something usually generates a high % of yes answers

Ask do you think we need to spend more on defence and LESS on Health/Education/Police....and see what answer you get then.

This is what happens when you back yourself into a corner through bad political judgement. You keep a divisive issue alive, you make a lot of people really angry by denying their voice, and you corrode confidence in the political system. Way to go Luxon. What a complete embarrassment of a PM.

RNZ · Prime Minister doubles down on allowing exclusion of Treaty Principles Bill submissionsBy Russell Palmer

Politicians and media are constantly talking about living in a “more volatile world”. Just a platitudes with no detail.

Can somebody please explain the specific threats that are greater now than they have been in the past?
It seems like we are jumping of the cliff because other countries are doing it... or we are being told to by our ‘allies’.

The country making biggest threat to global stability right now is the US, are we going to go to war with them?

Shane Jones wants to make changes to the Fisheries Act. 🎣
They are great for the fishing industry, but not good for those of us who want healthy oceans. 🌊
One of the lowlights is removing access to footage from Cameras on Boats, reducing transparency and accountability of the commercial fishing fleet. 🐬

Submissions are open until April 11, and we want you to have a say! 🐙

A major part of why New Zealand has bad infrastructure is the political culture is highly sensitive to capital expenditures and generally ignorant of operational expenditures. We can see this in the ferries - Everything is about reducing CapEx in the port. The implications of smaller vessels and outmoded infrastructure on OpEx just aren’t being considered.

For anyone not paying attention #NZPol political influencers who have been recently convicted for pedophilia include Seymour’s bestie and former #ACT Party president Tim Jago and Brian Tamaki’s Destiny Church youth leader Kiwa Hamiora-Te Hira yet apparently a non binary Green MP’s social media account has been presented as a national crisis by our government and its Trumpian sycophants.
