David CroyleAs I’d hoped, it looks to be just the right size to fit my kid’s ancient iPad Mini, which he no longer uses. Hopefully I can replicate an image and/or video on the screen, if I can actually figure out what it’s supposed to look like!If I can't figure it out I'll invent some sort of appropriate display.I'm now charging and updating the ancient iPad. David CroyleOK, so I thought I was done with buying Expanse show props but apparently that conclusion was premature. :)This is what was listed as a “Martian Survey Pad Cover.” It attached to some device, although I have NO idea where in the show this might have appeared. Maybe when Bobbie was back on Mars? No idea.I won it at auction as it was dirt cheap, literally less than a dollar plus 30 bucks for shipping. plinthToday I hooked up a USB DVD drive to a MacBook and put in a CDR I burned circa 1997 from a PowerBook 540c. Totally surprised that MacOS read it and displayed files in the Finder from a 27 year old obsolete file system. At any rate, here's a picture of me with a face hugger I made for fun. I still like it and think it looks pretty ominous. It's not based on anything specific, just something my imagination decided looked right. And it does look good on a shelf. :)

Printing with 100% infill so all pieces are solid. Still much to be done! Cast solid prop above for reference. Will be interesting to compare weights when complete.
