abolitionmedia
Ansarallah Maintains Resistance, US and Zionist Regime Rampage Continues

The Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) engaged in an hours-long battle with United States Navy vessels in the Red Sea, spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree stated.

Saree underscored that this is the third round of clashes between the YAF and US vessels by the YAF in the past 24 hours. He explained that in the latest round of confrontations, the YAF’s branches, including the Rocket Force, Navy, and the Unmanned Air Force, fired multiple cruise missiles and one-way attack drones at American vessels.

Emphasizing that Yemeni operations against US Navy vessels will continue, the general stated that the attacks will intensify progressively.

“The Armed Forces’ operations against the Zionist enemy—blocking its navigation in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea and targeting its military and vital facilities—aim to halt the genocide against the oppressed Palestinian people in Gaza, which continues in full view of Arabs, Muslims, and the entire world,” the statement underlined.

“These operations will not stop until the aggression against Gaza ends and the siege is lifted,” Saree concluded.

Earlier on Tuesday and amid ongoing US aggression against Yemen, which has resulted in dozens of civilian casualties, the YAF targeted the hostile American MQ-9 drone over the Marib governorate using a domestically manufactured surface-to-air missile.

The strike marks the 16th confirmed downing of an MQ-9 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) by the YAF since the Zionist aggression on Gaza began in late 2023. The successful strike also meant that this is the 20th overall US-operated MQ-9 drone downed by the Yemeni Armed Forces. including during the period of the US-backed war on Yemen.

Although the US has relentlessly bombarded Yemen for weeks in an effort to break Sanaa’s support for the Palestinian people, Yemeni forces continue their retaliatory strikes. The latest US raids targeted a school and a health center in Saada governorate, highlighting the devastating humanitarian toll of Washington’s ongoing military campaign. At the same time, Washington is rapidly amassing military assets across the region—not only to sustain its campaign against Yemen but also to escalate pressure on Iran.

The Yemeni military media also released footage documenting the moment the Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) shot down an American MQ-9 drone, along with images of its wreckage.

The US drone was downed by Yemeni air defenses using a domestically produced surface-to-air missile while it was conducting hostile operations over Marib province in northeastern Yemen on March 31.

Earlier on Tuesday, Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced that the YAF’s Air Defense Force successfully downed a US MQ-9 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).

Amid ongoing US aggression against Yemen, which has resulted in dozens of civilian casualties, the YAF targeted the hostile drone over the Marib governorate using a domestically manufactured surface-to-air missile, Saree stated.

The operation marks the 16th confirmed downing of an MQ-9 UAV by the YAF since the Israeli aggression on Gaza began in late 2023.

Saree stressed that the YAF will continue to bar Zionist-affiliated vessels from sailing in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea. He also reaffirmed Yemen’s steadfast position of supporting the Palestinian people until the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip is halted.

As for the continued American aggression on Yemen, the spokesperson asserted that the YAF will not hesitate when it comes to executing defensive operations against hostile vessels in the coming days.

US aggression kills civilians in Yemen

On Mondaay, US warplanes launched airstrikes on Kamaran Island in the Red Sea, westernmost Yemen.

The Health Ministry in Yemen announced that 15 civilians were killed in US airstrikes on the Sanaa and Hajjah governorates.

Two people were killed, while a child was injured, in the US targeting of a Hilux vehicle in the al-Tour area, located in the Bani Qais district in the Hajjah Governorate, the ministry detailed.

The US claims to have taken military action in the Red Sea to open up shipping lanes in the Middle East. However, the aggression comes after the Zionist resumed its genocidal war on Gaza, which in turn led the YAF to renew its naval operations.

Hezbollah mourns commander and son martyred in aggression

The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon – Hezbollah announced on Tuesday the martyrdom of Commander Hassan Ali Bdeir, known as Hajj Rabih, on the path to occupied al-Quds.

Hezbollah officially mourned Bdeir and his son, Ali, who were martyred in the Zionist airstrike that targeted a residential building in Beirut’s Southern Suburb on Tuesday dawn.

The attack resulted in the martyrdom of four people, including a woman, and left six others wounded, one of whom is in critical condition.

Hezbollah called on supporters to participate in the funeral procession of the two martyrs, scheduled for Wednesday at Rawdat Al-Hawraa Zainab in Beirut.

Al-Moussawi calls for ambassadors’ summoning over Beirut Suburb attack

Earlier, Hezbollah’s Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc MP Ibrahim al-Moussawi stated that the events of Tuesday morning have escalated the situation to a whole new level, describing it as a major act of aggression.

Speaking with the press, al-Moussawi held the international community and the United States accountable for the Zionist aggression, labeling it a crime.

“The situation is no longer tolerable,” he underscored, emphasizing that the international community is witnessing the targeting of children in their sleep and asserting that there is no justification for attacking civilians.

In response to the aggression, al-Moussawi called for the activation of top-level diplomacy to find solutions and urged the Lebanese government to summon the ambassadors of major powers.

The lawmaker emphasized Lebanon’s stance, stating, “We are not warmongers,” clarifying that “it is the enemy who has effectively ended the ceasefire agreement through its continuous raids and violations in the South, the Bekaa, and the Southern Suburb.”

Resistance at full strength, readiness: MP Ammar

On his part, MP Ali Ammar stated that “Hezbollah is exercising the utmost patience and restraint, but patience has its limits. We are waiting, and resistance continues.”

He added, “The Resistance is at full strength, prepared, and has more than compensated for all its losses,” stressing that this is “not mere rhetoric to boost morale.”

“The only language that works against the enemy is the language of resistance and steadfastness,” Ammar asserted.

Zionist regime executes rescue workers

The Civil Defense in Gaza warned of escalating execution-style killings targeting its personnel, following the martyrdom of six of its members and nine paramedics from the Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in Rafah, who were found in a deep pit with their hands tied and gunshot wounds over their bodies fired by the Zionist occupation forces.

In a press statement, the agency stressed that these crimes aim to strip Gaza of humanitarian relief services and urged the international community and humanitarian organizations to take “concrete action rather than remain passive observers,” emphasizing that such violations constitute war crimes and genocide.

80 Palestinians killed in 48 hours

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza announced that 80 Palestinians were killed and 305 others injured over the past 48 hours as the Zionist aggression on the Palestinian enclave continues unabated.

The ministry reported that on the first day of Eid al-Fitr alone, 53 Palestinians were killed and 189 injured.

This brings the total death toll since the start of the genocide on October 7, 2023, to 50,357 martyrs, with 114,400 wounded.

More Casualties Across Gaza

On Monday, in Gaza reports state that two Palestinians were killed and several others were injured in an airstrike targeting a tent near the Applied College in the al-Mawasi area, west Khan Younis. He also noted that Zionist forces fired intermittently north of al-Qarara town, northeast Khan Younis.

More than 10 Palestinians were martyred and multiple others wounded in an airstrike on a house in the tl-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

Additionally, Gaza’s Civil Defense reported that eight people, including three children, were killed in an Israeli strike on Yafa Street in the al-Tuffah neighborhood.

In Rafah, one Palestinian was killed and another injured when the Zionists targeted a vehicle in the city center.

Meanwhile, two Palestinians were martyred and several others wounded in a Zionist strike on the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.

https://abolitionmedia.noblogs.org/?p=18060

#alAqsaFlood #ansarallah #gaza #hamas #hezbollah #lebanon #palestine #repression #resistance #war #westAsia #yemen

abolitionmedia
US Seeks Execution of Luigi Mangione, Accused CEO Assassin

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi has instructed the Justice Department to pursue the death penalty against Luigi Mangione, the 26-year-old man accused of assassinating the UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, who publicly ran one of the most barbaric institutions in the country.

“After careful consideration, I have directed federal prosecutors to seek the death penalty in this case as we carry out President Trump’s agenda to stop violent crime and Make America Safe Again,” Bondi said in a statement.

Mangione faces federal and state criminal charges in Thompson’s death early Dec. 4 outside a hotel in New York City. Bondi’s announcement would affect only Mangione’s federal case, in which he’s accused of murdering Thompson through the use of a firearm, as well as of stalking the health care executive.

In Mangione’s state case, he faces multiple murder charges, including a count of committing murder as an act of terrorism. Mangione has pleaded not guilty in the state case, and his next appearance is scheduled for late June. Pretrial proceedings in his federal case have been delayed until at least April 18 based on an agreement between his lawyers and prosecutors.

Mangione’s lawyer, Karen Friedman Agnifilo, called the move by the Justice Department “political” and said in a statement that Mangione will fight the charges against him.

“We are prepared to fight these federal charges, brought by a lawless Justice Department, as well as the New York State charges, and the Pennsylvania charges, and anything else they want to pile on Luigi,” the statement said. “This is a corrupt web of government dysfunction and one-upmanship. Luigi is caught in a high-stakes game of tug-of-war between state and federal prosecutors, except the trophy is a young man’s life.”

Mangione draws public support

In his role as CEO of UnitedHealthcare, Thompson ran a nationwide health insurance company that regularly denied people of basic coverage, and likely ended thousands of people’s lives for profit.

These corporate institutions have become increasingly brazen and barbaric as the the wealth in the country is consolidated in fewer and fewer hands.

After the assassination of the exploiter, Thompson, a dayslong search for a suspect in his killing and the subsequent arrest of Mangione at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania, sparked massive public support from most the society.

“Luigi really wanted to thank the supporters for being here, and we all appreciate it very much,” Karen Friedman Agnifilo, a lawyer for Mangione, said outside of court after a February proceeding in a New York state court.

Court records unveiled last week said Mangione had received a pair of notes while in custody telling him to keep his “head held high” and that “there are thousands of people wishing you luck.” Mangione has requested a laptop to review discovery, which prosecutors have opposed.

The support Mangione has seen in some quarters sparked fear for other insurance companies, which beefed up their security. In bringing potentially harsh penalties against the 26-year-old, prosecutors have signaled they want to send a message when it comes to potential violence motivated by blatant injustice. The state intends to maintain the status quo at all costs, as it continues to participate in what amounts to a public killing spree of its citizens through the health industry.

“The murder was an act of political violence,” the Justice Department said in a news release accompanying the announcement. “Mangione’s actions involved substantial planning and premeditation and because the murder took place in public with bystanders nearby, may have posed grave risk of death to additional persons.”

https://abolitionmedia.noblogs.org/?p=18066

#assassin #assassination #luigiMangione #northAmerica #repression #us

abolitionmedia
Call to Action to Free Anan Yaeesh, Palestinian Political Prisoner in Italy: April 1-2

On 2 April 2025, in an Italian court in L’Aquila, the political trial of Palestinians Anan Yaeesh, Ali Arar and Mansour Doghmosh will begin. The three Palestinians are accused of “subversive association for terrorist purposes” in a case that began when the Zionist entity, “Israel,” demanded the extradition of Anan Yaeesh, a liberated Palestinian prisoner, from Italy. While Ali and Mansour have been provisionally released pending trial, Anan has been imprisoned in Italy for one year, since January 2024.

Sign the petition by Urgence Palestine to support Anan Yaeesh and his fellow detainees

Anan Yaeesh is a 37-year-old Palestinian activist from Tulkarem in the West Bank of occupied Palestine. Active in the liberation movement during the Second, Al-Aqsa, Intifada, he was imprisoned for 4 years in Zionist prisons and seriously injured after an ambush by colonial special forces in 2006. In 2013, he left Palestine for Norway before settling in Italy in 2017 and obtaining a residence permit there in 2019. In 2023, he visited Jordan, where he was detained by Jordanian authorities, who maintain normalization and security cooperation with the Zionist regime, for several months; he was able to return to Italy in November 2023.

At the end of January 2024, he was arrested by the Italian police in the city of L’Aquila where he resides at the request of the “Israeli” regime, then transferred to detention in the high-security prison of Terni for alleged collaboration with the Tulkarem Brigades, an organization linked to the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades (one of the armed groups of Fatah, that continue to uphold Palestinian liberation rather than “security coordination” with the occupier.)

While the L’Aquila court rejected his extradition on 12 March 2024, noting that he would be subjected to torture, Italian prosecutors arrested two more Palestinians one day before, on 11 March 2024 — Ali Irar and Mansour Doghmosh — accusing all of them of supporting the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades in Tulkarem. In September 2024, the court ordered Ali and Mansour’s provisional release, while the charges remained in place, but Anan has been continually imprisoned in a high-security facility.

On 2 April 2025, his trial in Italy will begin, and we encourage all organizations, supporters, activists and people in solidarity with the Palestinian people and their resistance to support Anan Yaeesh through actions, banner drops, posters, videos of support, etc. We have a sample poster in solidarity with Anan Yaeesh that you can download and use:

Download the PDF

On Wednesday, 26 February, Anan Yaeesh addressed the court, emphasizing the legitimacy of Palestinian resistance under international law and the necessity of confronting genocide. (Read his full statement here.) He noted:

“You want me to defend myself against the accusations against me, but I am ashamed to seek acquittal on charges that, for me, represent a source of honor. I do not want to defend myself against the accusation of having rights and having claimed them, or of having tried to liberate my people and my country from colonial oppression. I swear that I have no intention of being acquitted of the legitimate resistance against the Zionist occupation. The Palestinian resistance is one of the noblest phenomena known to history. On the contrary, I am ashamed to find myself in a warm room, even in prison, while children in Gaza die of cold, hunger, and thirst. I am ashamed of the humane treatment received from the prison authorities here, while my fellow prisoners in Israeli jails suffer the worst torture, oppression, and abuse.”

On the same day, Georges Abdallah, Lebanese communist and Palestinian resistance fighter imprisoned in France since 1984 although he has been eligible for release since 1999, will celebrate his 74th birthday. We urge all to join with the call of the Unified Campaign to Free Georges Abdallah for actions on 2 April.

Let’s make 1 and 2 April days for broad mobilization, calling for the release of Georges Abdallah, Anan Yaeesh, Ali Irar and Mansour Doghmosh; Ghassan Elashi and Shukri Abu Baker of the Holy Land 5; Mahmoud Khalil, Rumeysa Ozturk, Badar Khan Suri, Yunseo Chong and all those targeted for ICE detention; the Filton 18, and all our comrades incarcerated in imperialist, normalizing and reactionary prisons, for their participation in or support for the resistance of the Palestinian people!

Actions you can take:

Sign the petition by Urgence Palestine to support Anan Yaeesh and his fellow detainees

Join protests for Anan, Ali and Mansour:
Paris – Tuesday, 1 April, 7 pm, Square D’Ajaccio, Rue de Grenelle and Boulevard des Invalides.

März 2025, in Istanbul, Türkei.
Ein Plakat von Ekrem İmamoğlu, 19. März 2025, in Istanbul, Türkei. Foto: Chris McGrath/Getty Images
