LexTenebris<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://literatur.social/@nisjasper" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>nisjasper</span></a></span> There is, of course, Runners in the Shadows (<a href="https://markcleveland.itch.io/runners-in-the-shadows" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">markcleveland.itch.io/runners-</span><span class="invisible">in-the-shadows</span></a>), which is a Forged in the Dark pseudo-Shadowrun run which very much might scratch your itch for something better than the Shadowrun mechanics themselves if you're familiar with Blades in the Dark and how it plays, but more importantly, how it's structured. I was playing Necromunda with some kids in the new school and they introduced me to that guy who wanted to start a game of Shadowrun. We ended up playing Star Wars instead. They were able to steal the paydata they were after (schematics for an ansible) and destroy the only existing prototype, all without drawing too much attention. STEPH INFECTION<p>had a kickass birthday yesterday, spent it at the local game store, got some cool stuff, and ran my first full game of <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/RunnersintheShadows" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>RunnersintheShadows</span></a> ! It went pretty well, I was worried at first that I would be overwhelmed with some of the specificity in the game as well as the different style of playbooks and narration, but it was all very simple to execute and extremely intuitive!</p>
STEPH INFECTION<p>Almost finished reading through <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/RunnersInTheShadows" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>RunnersInTheShadows</span></a> and I&#39;m so very very stoked to run a game at some point. I think it has the best spell in it in all of gaming, which is certainly high praise, but just....look at it</p>
