While down the peninsula this evening, I noticed the VTA 522 has no stops between Bernardo and Castro, a distance of 1.8 miles. That seems like quite a distance for a limited-stop urban route. ¿Is that the longest distance between two stops on the 522?
Around 7:45 pm this evening, I saw a freight train roar through Millbrae Caltrain Station in the San Francisco direction on Caltrain track. I didn't know they still did that.

What’s important right now is that people focus on common interests and shared goals. If we don’t have a democracy there’s no opportunity for a vegan to improve the living conditions of chickens. If we don’t have a democracy there’s no opportunity for people concerned about the environment to reduce dependence on fossil fuels. Everyone needs to focus on the big picture: returning power to the people and disempowering the 1%. #NoBillionaires #America #democracy #liberty #texan #sanfranciscobayarea #nedluddwasright
If you’re in the San Francisco Bay Area and you’re interested in the future of news, you might be interested in an event @SFPublicPress is hosting. On March 13, there’ll be a special screening of “Stripped for Parts: American Journalism on the Brink,” a documentary by Academy Award-nominee Rick Goldsmith, about hedge fund Alden Global Capital, which has been gutting local papers across America.

This was during the “always keep the camera in the car” era for those unexpected detours.

@TheWeeOwl The #ItalianAmericans who hunt these #mushrooms in the #SanFranciscoBayArea usually call them #Porcini. Wikipedia says, “Boletus edulis (English: cep, penny bun, porcino or porcini) is a basidiomycete fungus, and the type species of the genus #Boletus.”

Okay, I said I was going to make more of an effort to promote my art here, and I've dropped the ball. So let's try this.

This is one of my favorite #GlitchArt pieces I've put up on INPRNT. I took the original picture on #AngelIsland, and am really happy with the resulting color palette.
[Image Description for link preview] Looking up a foot path to a historic multi-unit building, the sky is a digital static grey with multi-color speckles fading to gold then deep orange. The rest of the image is a palette of navy blue, mint green, neon pink, and yellow with the very occasional hint of neon green. The whole picture is pixelated and artifacted.
