To me, Free League has become the spiritual successor to what Wizards of the Coast used to be.
Their systems are clever, the settings beautifully written, the layouts are some of the most gorgeous I've seen in any TTRPG, and the art is magnificent.
I'm already introducing my players to Alien RPG. The question now is if the next campaign I'm setting up is going to be "The Lord of the Rings RPG" or "Symbaroum".

The cover for #Symbaroum 's new setting & campaign is a stunner! Unfortunately the font is ridiculously small too! I've only just started, but the crime in #Agrella: City of Eternal Euphoria is supposed to be very pronounced, but so far I haven't found anything about prostitution or similar. #ttrpg

i just received the (final?) beta of coriolis 2, 2nd edition, part deux, die zweite ... what ever. as much as i love the original coriolis, this feels much like a 100% dungeon delve where they said it would only be a 33.3% dungeon delve. let's see. at least there is the new symbaroum book which looks absolutely beautiful.

Hallo #pnpde, an alle die schon Erfahrung mit #Symbaroum haben und/oder die Kampagnenbände gelesen haben, hätte ich mal eine Frage der Einschätzung: Wie belohnend ist es, die #Kampagne zu spielen? Ich finde die Welt gerade ziemlich genial, aber habe wie bei allen #FreeLeague Sachen das Gefühl, dass dieses #Rollenspiel um die Kampagne herum errichtet wurde. Aber wie gut ist die eurer persönlichen Meinung nach? Und lässt sie sich auch realistisch spielen? 1/2

ich bin etwas verwirrt: Seit #Symbaroum beim #UhrwerkVerlag veröffentlicht wurde, lese ich "Ware im Zulauf – verlängerte Lieferzeit". Das verwirrt mich deshalb, weil der Veröffentlichungstermin für gedruckte Buch ja schon einmal verschoben wurde, aber zu dem Zeitpunkt stand da dann ein neues Datum und #Vorbestellung .
Weiß da vielleicht jm unter euch etwas genaueres?
Tag 19: Sensationelle Runde
Ich erinnere mich an ein paar Situationen erinnern, in denen Abgründe vorkamen und gut aneinander mit Seilen gesicherte Gruppen clever die gefährlichen Situationen entschärften:: Kein Problem, wenn man jemand fällt.
Ich kann mich sehr gut an eine #symbaroum Runde erinnern, in der ein SC fiel und wieder hochgezogen werden musste: Ein recht wohlgenährter… Oger.
Das war ein Spaß!
@cgmelch Ja, nicht mal 5 Jahre sind eine kurze Zeit, vor allem da sie nicht mal alle angekündigten Zusatzbücher herausgebracht haben. Zum Vergleich: #Symbaroum erschien 2016 und wurde erst letztes Jahr vollendet.
Vielleicht haben sie gemerkt, dass sie sich in eine Ecke geschrieben haben? Denn eigentlich macht Free League mMn keine klassischen Rollenspiele, sondern epische Kampagne für die irgendwie auch ein Grundregelwerk existiert.
Und erprobte Systeme eine offene Lizenz. Die Auswahl ist also da. Und ich glaube auch nicht unbedingt, dass das System viele hinter dem Ofen hervorlocken wird. Die Derivate von #Symbaroum und #TheOneRing laufen ja auch eher unter "ferner liefen". Und letztlich wird Myranor ja vor allem alte Fans anziehen.
Ich wünsche der Reihe und Uhrwerk aber auf jeden Fall viel Erfolg und hoffe, dass die Strategie aufgeht, damit die Reihe lange bestehen kann. 2/2 #pnpde
