UNDERBRIDGEMore work towards the release of the bigger update. Biggest challenges are solved with many small improvements.<ul><li>Autosampler got new functions to make multisampling even more useful.</li><li>New recording method for sample accurate recordings that are platform independent.</li><li>New device will come in the next version.</li><li>OP-XY might be added in the future.</li></ul>No release date yet. Quite some effort went into this and a new small power efficient buildserver was necessary.This enables more frequent updates without all the manual work that had to be done previously for each release.This marks another small milestone until release. Thomas 🇪🇺Underbridge-Pro status updateOllrighd!Two additional months that have been pretty crunchy yielded a overall usable beta state. Still, I do want to test it a little more with some tracks of mine to see if it gest stuck in some unexpected ways.Two bigger packages, namely the new website and the deployment chain thingy still aren´t done fully yet.That means, theoretically the 2.0 version is kind of ready until the targeted 24.2.24, the necessary and important bits around it are not.That means I need a few extras (again) to have everything up and running nicely.I think the 90% rewrite and the newly added workbenches are worth the wait. Therefore, I am currently targeting the 24.2.24, as the official release day. I understand that everyone is likely quite busy during the holiday season anyway (hopefully).Current Status:The core sequencing part has been completely rewritten, incorporating audio, and most old features have been adapted to the new system with improvements.The new "workbenches" are now implemented and already usable. The new UI is visually appealing, with significantly enhanced usability and additional information provided to the user during recording.This indicates that everything is progressing as expected, and by January, all planned features should be in a functional state. Thomas 🇪🇺UnderbridgeIts interesting to see the code I wrote a year ago. I mean it worked pretty well given the complexity necessary for the parallel processing and the blackbox that doesnt return any status information but it was extremely coupled and not modular at all.The new code is much more like one of those car production lines where at each stop robots attach certain parts precisely and as the frame proceeds through the plant it gets more and ore of a car.Each workbench now has these objectified produciton lines and it should be way more relaxed to add new workbenches over time. This should also reduce time to update together with the newly established CD pipeline. Hopefully the problem for nuitka with macos can be solved until release as it dramatically reduces start up time on macOS and might provide additional performance for certain planned features.The features for the 2.1 realease are already piling up and Octatrack and maybe the new KO might be added there as well togehter with a full performance recorder and idea that a customer introduced (named in the release oc)As always, macOS eats 75% of the ressources that are allocated for deployment. raise-projectStarted to work on new features for underbridge again. Mostly things that I wished for when working with it last weekend. Haven´t received any feature suggestions lately so there is more spae for mine :D Still some problems on mac, its hard to develop stuff If you can´t test it yourself on that platform. So mostly black boxing my way through it. I did push a newly packed version for Ventura silently that solved the unknown dev and write access problems but I have a single report of too slow recordings with Model:cycles. All fine on Windows and Linux. Mac really is a huge headache and time consumer for me unfortunately. Thinking of ditching mac in general as that would help the whole project to advance.
