So #Wordpress (org) is really unbanning EVERYONE who's ever been banned. This was confirmed by Matt on Twitter (screenshot attached).

I'm going to have to cold-stop any and all contributions because it's demonstrably UNSAFE for me to be a part of the community.

Stalkers. Harassers. DEATH THREATS.

It's NOT safe for me to be there.

Until someone SANE comes up with limits, guidelines, and restrictions for this 'all bans,' it is NOT SAFE for me to be on WordPress.org.

I repeat: THIS IS NOT A SAFE COMMUNITY FOR ME OR ANY OF THE THOUSANDS OF VOLUNTEERS WHO HAVE WORKED HARD TO ENFORCE GUIDELINES EQUITABLY FOR OVER A DECADE.

For the #smallweb blog posts, such as the ones I have been posting recently, how do you prefer to find out about new posts?

I'm toying with the idea of re-enabling the ability of subscribing to new blog posts via email. As I return to work next week, my blog postings will become a bit more sporadic again.

Today on my blog, a bad bot requested the same URL 30 times in less than a second, all from different IPs from residential and mobile ISPs with faked browser user-agents. I understand if they would have requested 30 different URLs in the same time frame, but 30 times the same URL?

If I would be using a dynamic blog like #WordPress without proper caching, the blog could have been down. Thanks to a static site generator like #Jekyll or #Hugo, I’m just annoyed, but not impacted.

It’s been a while — hard to find time to work on the theme, but here’s a quick update:
Blog cards are done, archive and page templates mostly finished.
Homepage template still needs a redesign.
Started on the single post template (that one is messy).

Some links lead to different HTML templates.
Will be turned into a full PHP-based WordPress theme.
