For #VGMWednesday this week I have Maple the Witch's Theme from the Oracle games. In the game on random map screens Maple will appear flying low on her broom, and if you get in her path you'll both drop a bunch of items. Then it's a scramble to see who can pick up all of the valuable ones first!

I don't know why she prefers to pick up bombs over rupees. You can buy bombs with the rupees girl!

🕶️ A bird's eye view of the beginning of the game where the protagonist comes out of the inn-hotel from where he just woke up. The graphics are adorable, partly from the Nintendo series (fair use). A mini-map at the bottom right of the screen allows you to locate yourself geographically. 📚️ The Legend of Zelda: Mercuris Chest is a (partially) libre and multi-platform reboot of The Legend of Zelda: Mystery of Solarus DX (zsdx), itself thought as the sequel of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (on SNES), an action-RPG game, with the same graphics (reason why it is only partially libre) and game mechanics. This reboot is the most ambitious project of the Solarus Team, it has the ambition to become a reference amateur Zelda, with a huge and open world, many biomes, NPCs and side quests, and characters and graphical elements specially created to give it its own charm.

I guess there must be something wrong with the code for the WiiU's HD remakes of Legend of #zelda WindWaker and Twilight Princess. As I understand it, other Wii/U titles have successfully re-released on #switch, so I don't expect it's a hardware compatibility issue. Why would they release the GameCube version of WW when there's an HD version to go with the Switch2 hardware improvements unless they literally cannot? People have been clamoring for the HD remakes on Switch since it released. 😭

HOWEVER Since Hyrule Circuit ALSO premiered in Mario Kart 8... I would be remiss if I didn't mention that cow named Elsie on Lon Lon Ranch in Minish Cap also had blue spots.

Theoretically, this could be a crossbreed between Water Buffalo seen in Breath of the Wild (which contains the ruins of Lon Lon Ranch) and the original cows from the series.

The fact that Hateno cows are brown, like English Shorthorns, supports this theory.
