OK after some thought, here are my predictions for 2025 for the Open Social Web. See what you think. See if you hae any thing you would differ with or suggest your own predictions.
Next year at this time will see how I did.

@tchambers @fediversenews I posted this on @darnell@darnell.day, but #Bluesky has 14 million monthly active users (MAU), & about 3 million daily active users (DAU): https://darnell.day/can-bluesky-rise-above-its-progressive-plateau-and-beyond-threads-shadow

I would be surprised if they surpassed 50 million MAU in 2025, but they could easily surpass 50 million total accounts.
Aside from that, these are interesting predictions! Maybe I should speculate on a few!
@darnell@one.darnell.one @tchambers @fediversenews @darnell@darnell.day I'd be more worried about BS running out of money before anything. Microblogging was barely profitable before Musk took over X and now the for profit pot has to be divided three ways? Plus, Musk and Zuck effectively have regulatory capture for the next four years...
@Tim_Eagon @tchambers @fediversenews @darnell@darnell.day I think #Threads will be the most profitable micro blogging service around, if not the only one due to advertisers.
Once that happens, we will witness what few advertisers remain on #X leave for Threads.
