Brey, I was here the whole time; the GOP has been manufacturing consent for an anti-trans pogrom for literally three and a half years now and the Democratic Party responded by literally not pushing back and not talking about trans people at all. Believe me, it's a big part of why I've been telling you libs to fuck off when you say these ppl fight for me in my replies. So blaming this on trans issues is literally saying "if trans ppl didn't EXIST we've have won" - *as* Trump prepares to end us.

Don't reply. I'm not here for it; you can argue with John Oliver instead.

"If what you want is a centrist campaign that's quiet on trans issues, tough on the border, distances itself from Palestinians, talks a lot about law and order, and reaches out to moderate Republicans, that candidate existed and she just lost."

ht to the person who shared this in my Discord.

Bluesky Social · witch-captain nakou 🏳️‍⚧️ (@nakou.bsky.social)just a reminder that john oliver did better in a condensed 60 seconds to defend trans rights and trans people than the entire democratic party in a 6 month campaign.

Like, I literally predicted this, in writing, multiple times and years ago.

Het people don't give a fuck about trans and queer people. I never EXPECTED these folks to fight for me, and they didn't. But to turn around and say it's my fault you lost, for EXISTING, after you ran a campaign to the right of George W. Bush and 10M people said "naw" is literally doing the nazis work FOR them.

And you wonder why I keep saying "we are not fucking friends or on the same side" right?

"While the Party platform offered some assurances on protecting the rights of trans people, if anyone pushed back on or mentioned at all the fascist right’s ongoing pogrom and eliminationist policies targeting trans folks, I certainly missed it."

"Don’t worry though, I’m sure working to support trans rights behind the scenes and refusing to publicly stand up for a vulnerable minority group being demonized as pedophiles and targeted for extermination by fascists will win Democrats as many as a half-dozen cracker suburban voters who want to pogrom trans people out of existence, so clearly doing nothing to push back on that dangerous rhetoric and these monstrous policies has no downside and was the smart play here."

"Unfortunately, even sympathetic media outlets chose to report this phenomenon almost exclusively as it pertained to the (then) upcoming American election. When firing up the trans pogrom failed to produce a Republican “red wave” victory, an already transphobic American establishment quickly lost interest in defending, or even discussing trans rights."

"On a more personal level however, I’m also disheartened about the lightning-quick return of mainstream transphobia in the media, and an alarming lack of concern about an anti-trans pogrom in progress that wasn’t particularly impeded by these election results at all."

"Although both public polling, and ballot results demonstrate that labor class liberals broadly oppose de-personing trans Americans, the ruling class presumption of a return to normalcy represents a very grave danger to a minority group firmly in the sights of a fascist movement that still has very real power to prosecute its eliminationist agenda."

"What really makes this article stand out for me however, is the author’s willingness to challenge liberal, and even left wing complacency in the face of this ongoing anti-trans pogrom. Speaking directly to the sense of alienation that I myself have acknowledged often prevents me from writing about attacks on the very existence of trans identities, Strangio bluntly asks where is the anti-fascist solidarity for trans people in the broader American “left” coalition?"

I could keep going, I'm sure I brought this up in more articles than this. But don't fucking pretend you folks fought for me and folks like me because I WAS HERE THE WHOLE TIME and you're lying.

And this is gonna shock you to hear, but I have MANY trans friends, and a whole bunch of them, even perhaps a majority of them, didn't vote for your candidate precisely BECAUSE you didn't fight for them in the face of again, an ongoing anti-trans pogrom that has been mainstream right wing policy for three and a half years.

You're just lucky trans people are a miniscule voting demo but I bet that was repeated across multiple OTHER demos you didn't fight the nazis to protect either.

Vinnie (any)

@AnarchoNinaWrites Absolutely that. The democrats ran on an anti-democratic platform based on blackmail so they didn't have to actually represent any base whatsoever. They did this because they could get away with it in their minds and now it's proven that didn't fly, they are acting up like toddlers deprived of yet another bar of chocolate. And they would, without blinking, do it all over again because they will never be the ones to suffer the consequences of their actions.
