Checking out as a chat solution right now. Seems much more complicated than so far.

Some clients at least seem to have video chat capability, but that seems to be powered by jitsi instead (which is xmpp-based)? Curious.

Also it feels like I missed the train for that somewhat, as lots of related projects seem to be dead.

How the hell do I need 500mb of packages to install a terminal client for a chat program?

@kyonshi there is work on native group calls with the SFU being handled by livekit call.element.io is where you can see it in action it works great

@kyonshi the old way of using video chats in matrix was using widgets with jitsi, however native video calls are being added to matrix.
Element already has an implementation
