#EdZitron, Never Forgive Them

@pluralistic The most obnoxious example I've seen this year was an email saying "We are sure gonna miss you!" that complained that "It's been a while since you shopped with us", when:
1) I made a purchase from them two weeks prior, and
2) They're people who sell freeze-dried food with a 30-year shelf life, so *there is no reason why I would be buying from them every two weeks!*
we noticed you shopping for air conditioners, would you like to “Subscribe and Save”?
@pteryx @pluralistic Amazon (I know, I know) is so convinced that what I need to buy next is the exact thing I just bought. If I got a new cat carrier then I’m done with that for the foreseeable future, I will not need more. If you’re go in g to spam me with endless advertising at least you should be smart enough to filter OUT stuff I just acquired.
@pteryx @pluralistic I'm butting into this conversation to mention that I bought some repair parts for our NordicTrack unit a couple of years ago, and I get emails for deals on more parts for this unit nearly every other month.
I'm sorry, I won't be purchasing more rollers for our exercise equipment. This is not a regular purchase for anyone, anywhere.
