One benefit of having hundreds of gamebooks is you will probably have forgotten about most of them, and picking one at random to read will often surprise you.
I started reading *Houses of the Blooded* by John Wick, and found it very interesting.
John has a very strong voice in his games, and in this one he has gone for less of a textbook, and more of the "show don't tell" method. He invokes the feeling of the game in text of the rules.

One really cool thing John does in this game is he includes a whole chapter with *player* advice. Yeah, player.
He talks about how to handle expectations in the group, the importance of conversation, what he intended with the rules and how it relates to the play experience. Awesome.
I have never seen anything like it in any other game, and almost all he writes is solid gold!

@tero Oh, shoot! I always forget about those movies. I probably am the last person on this planet who still haven't seen them. John even made fun of them in one of his youtube videos, and still I forgot about them. Yeah maybe a bit confusing there...
