@Faintdreams After I left my first instance I have only been on servers that run software that allow quote posting anyway. Not sure what the hubbub is about, tbh. So far I haven't seen this explode. It is incredibly useful to CW-boost or alt-text-boost posts that have neither.
Mastodon being a bit more compatible with the rest of the Fediverse would be nice though. Let them bring in Emoji reacts next. ;) Break up the monotomy of the stars.
