Here’s a great blog giving a nice way to add #DCC mighty deeds for fighters to #Shadowdark.
@KeroZelvin this is so cool. Thanks for sharing. I love both #shadowdark and #DCC and I think that porting the Mighty Deeds mechanics of DCC over to SD would be fun and work perfectly fine.
Also kind of sad, the Ken the DM’s „players will never jump for“ DCC because they are so focused on #5e
@HeyeBodo my ex #5e players are sold on #Shadowdark now! It is so similar in math to #osr standards like #BX, #ose, or #SwordsAndWizardry that you can port modules or systems over pretty seamlessly.
You do have to tone the treasure down by about 5-10x from the old modules as Kelsey flattened the treasure math for SD to better fit with her (user friendly) slot based encumbrance system.
@KeroZelvin cool! I also find it super easy to run #BX #OSE and 1e modules with Shadowdark. The game keeps on giving. My gaming highlight of 2023 We have launched a Shadowdark open table with a bunch of GMs and so far it has been a great an exciting experience. For me, Shadowdark is #dnd6e of the hearts. All the Dragongame fun and tropes without the rules bloat
@HeyeBodo this is true, it is 6E for us as well.
