@malin Contest between various guild teams, players vs NPCs, a series of particularly aggressive things are released into a problematic environment - say a marsh with a ruined monastery, and they get bragging rights if they earn the most points, and get the choice of best contracts for a year.
Added complication, if blood is spilt in the monastery it summons spirits of reprisal, Kroll, or the alien Alf.

@malin The marsh is large but the islands in it aren't so the prey & players are basically corralled towards locations with swamp undead monks.
Also, the waters are full of eels. For no other reason than eels are weird.
