Preparing for a approximately 8 hour next Saturday. Going over the many booklets, but also taking time to watch the first Shut Up & Sit Down play through of an earlier iteration of the game, where there were maybe 50-75 players (mostly 4 player teams representing countries):

...and the two follow up videos of their second megagame, where it had blown up to about 300 players, 30 different countries, each country team having more players, and the SU&SD team reprising their role as Japan:

This year, the newly branded First Contact game has 4 player teams again. I'm in team Canada, nestled 'safely' next to the US, part of the Commonwealth, and generally not a threat to anyone, but with a watchful eye on the Russians (this video is for last year's game):

To this end I've watched a lot of the Canadian season (3) of Race Across the World to get a feel for Canada, for roleplaying purposes. Though tonight's Eurovision may take over the pre-game Discord chat between the nations.

Anyway, anyone that will be in next weekend's - greetings from Canada!
