For the past week or so a very fluffy kitty has been visiting and staying in our yard, seemingly over night. They’ve also certainly seemed hungry, so we’ve given them some food. We shared pictures of them with the local vet offices, posted on the local community sites and talked to neighbors, but so far haven’t found where they live or may have lived. At this point we’re pretty sure they’re a lost kitty, or we’re abandoned.

The good news is last night they finally came up to Peggy for loves and let Peggy pick them up. So last night we brought them into our den, out of the awful air quality we’re having right now. They were unsure about things but quickly started needing all the pets and scritches while purring up a storm. The plan for today is to take them to a vet to get scanned for a microchip to hopefully find their home, and have them checked out. Anyway, here’s who we’re currently calling Georgie.

Georgie is also very dirty and will be getting a bath later. For now the top priority is getting them to a vet to be scanned and checked out.

Good news. Our normal vet, which is a mobile vet, should be able to swing by sometime today to check Georgie out and scan them. Honestly, I wasn't expecting them to be able to make the time on such short notice, but I'm very pleased they could. Acorn Mobile Vet is one of the best vets we've ever had.

Update: George is a neutered boy, even the vet had difficulty telling through his floofy pantaloons. He’s a senior, estimated at 10 to 12. He doesn’t have a microchip, so still no idea where his home may be. Unsurprisingly, he has fleas, he had been outside for at least a week, likely longer. So he will be getting a bath and all the kitties will be getting flea meds, we’ll also be spraying the den to kill any fleas down there.

@TreeVor Cat Distribution System strikes again.

@Keab42 yep. We're still hoping he has a home that is looking for him. He is so affectionate and such a little love bug, I'd hate for any one to lose him. But if not, he can have a new home with us.
