The absolute milquetoast responses of #PayPal about #Honey are so fucking damning.
They don't defend what they are doing or explain why what they do is not bad. They just say that it's technically legal and is industry-standard. Love it when companies basically straight-up admit that most people would consider their business practices indefensible & immoral.
They don't say "this is a good thing actually because [blah blah corporate nonsense]." No, they go straight to "we assert that we won't be held accountable in either criminal or civil proceedings for this underhanded thing."
I guess we'll find out whether they are right about that with this class-action lawsuit.
